Artistic Director & Founder

Two-time Latin Grammy nominee and founder of Siudy Flamenco. Trained at Amor de Dios Academy in Madrid. Her innovative approach to flamenco has earned international recognition including a Drama Desk nomination and performances at Lincoln Center and the Hollywood Bowl.

Daniela Rosi

Lead Instructor & Principal Dancer

A permanent company member since 2004 and one of its most experienced dancers. Trained under Siudy Garrido, Tatiana Reyna, and Paloma Marín. Daniela serves as lead instructor, principal dancer, and corps de ballet coordinator.

Sarah Mayorca

Instructor & Company Dancer

Debuted in the company's Amor Brujo production in 2024. Studying at Siudy Flamenco since 2019, Sarah started flamenco at age three in Caracas. She brings warmth and patience, making her an ideal guide for new students.

Federica Freites

Instructor & Company Dancer

Debuted in Amor Brujo in 2024. Started flamenco at age three at La Academia Zahori in Caracas. Joined Siudy Flamenco in 2020 and now teaches beginner-level classes, focusing on building technique and musicality.

Frequently Asked Questions About Flamenco Classes

Do I need dance experience to start flamenco classes?

No prior dance experience is required. Our Beginner I classes are designed specifically for students with no dance background. We teach foundational posture, footwork, and arm movements from the very beginning.

What should I wear to flamenco class?

Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows freedom of movement. A practice skirt is helpful but not required for beginners. Flamenco shoes are recommended but beginners can start with character shoes or sturdy heels with ankle straps.

How long does it take to learn flamenco?

Flamenco is a lifelong art form, but students typically feel comfortable with basic techniques within 3-6 months of consistent practice. Our six-level curriculum provides a clear path from beginner to advanced over several years.

What's the difference between group classes and private lessons?

Group classes follow a structured curriculum with other students at your level, offering a social learning environment. Private lessons provide one-on-one attention with customized instruction tailored to your specific goals and pace.
