When UNESCO inscribed flamenco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, they recognized what Spaniards have known for centuries: this is not merely dance. It is the sound of a culture's soul.
Born in Andalusia from the meeting of Romani, Moorish, Jewish, and Spanish traditions, flamenco carries five hundred years of human emotion. The poet Federico Garcia Lorca called it duende—that mysterious force that surges up from the soles of your feet.
You do not simply learn flamenco. You discover what already lives inside you.
Every instructor at Siudy Flamenco is an active performer in our professional company, bringing real stage experience into every class.

Have questions about which option is right for you?
Call us: (786) 671-8150Neither had most of our students. Adults often learn flamenco faster—your life experience gives you the emotional depth flamenco demands.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement. A long skirt for women is helpful but not required for beginners. Fitted tops work best so instructors can see your posture.
We have flamenco shoes in all sizes available to borrow during your first classes—don't let this stop you from starting! Flamenco shoes have nails on the heel and toe that produce the distinctive percussive sound. When you're ready to purchase your own, we can recommend where to find them.
Beginner classes are one hour. Intermediate and advanced classes are one hour and thirty minutes. Workshops and intensive sessions may vary in length.
Start with Beginner I if you're new. If you have dance experience, try a Discovery Class and our instructors will recommend the best fit for your skills.
The zapateado teaches your body rhythm. Your feet become the instrument. You don't bring rhythm; you create it.
Flamenco is about presence, power, and intention—not flexibility. Dancers of every body type command the stage.
Absolutely. Flamenco has a rich tradition of male dancers. The footwork, power, and emotional expression appeal to dancers of all genders.
Technique classes focus on specific skills like footwork (zapateado) or arm movements (braceo). Choreography classes teach complete dances that incorporate all elements.
Cancel at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule your class. Makeups are valid for 30 days and must be at the same level. No refunds for missed classes without advance notice.
