Where Tradition Meets Innovation
The Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company is a pioneer in expanding the traditional art form of flamenco through innovative aesthetics that elevate this vibrant Spanish musical and dance form, bringing it to broader audiences.
The company evolved from Siudy Garrido Flamenco Ballet, founded in Caracas in 2000. Due to socio-political challenges in Venezuela, the company relocated to North Miami in 2015, where it rebuilt from the ground up. Managing dancers from abroad and nurturing local talent, Garrido successfully kept the company's body of work dynamic and relevant.
In 2015, the company made its debut collaboration with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and later restaged the performance at the Hollywood Bowl in 2019.
Over the years, the company established strong community roots, becoming an Arts Partner with the Adrienne Arsht Center, where it has sold out performances for over 12 consecutive years. They have since presented high-caliber productions that have toured various cities in the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America.
Touring internationally, the company has performed on world-renowned stages and featured in prominent festivals across four continents.
The company's repertoire features multidisciplinary collaborations with visual artists, dancers, musicians, designers, filmmakers, and composers from diverse backgrounds.
