Spanish guitarist José Luis de la Paz and Venezuelan flamenco dancer Siudy Garrido cross paths in Miami, beginning an artistic collaboration that spans more than a decade. This intimate documentary traces their creative journey, where music and dance intertwine as a source of refuge, identity, and legacy.

La Casa del Alma was named an Official Selection at the 2026 Granada Flamenco Film Festival, featured in the Latidos section of the 51st Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, and presented at the Festival Internacional de Danza Ibérica Contemporánea in Querétaro, Mexico.

La Casa del Alma is a documentary journey spanning more than a decade of shared creation, where music and dance become a refuge, a universal language, and a living testament. Inspired by their experiences as immigrants and artists, José Luis and Siudy have brought their work to more than thirty cities around the world, connecting cultures and touching hearts along the way.
Featuring original music by José Luis de la Paz and choreography by Siudy Garrido, productions such as Entre Mundos (2009–2015), Flamenco Íntimo (2013–2024), and Amor Brujo (2015–2024) have kept the spirit of flamenco alive on prestigious stages, including the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Place des Arts in Montreal, and the Bursa International Arts Festival in Türkiye.
These productions have also featured special guest artists such as Antonio Canales, José Manuel Álvarez, and acclaimed flamenco singer Argentina, among many others.
